حدود سال ۱۳۴۱ (اوایل دهه ۱۳۴۰)، بازدیدهای رسمی و بازسازی‌های معمارانه در مسجد و مدرسه سپهسالار (مسجد شهید مطهری فعلی) در راستای مرمت کاشی‌کاری‌ها و بخش‌های معماری تزئینی آن انجام شد.

Ostad Morteza Forghanian Elyadarani (known as Morteza Forghanian Bana) is one of the prominent contemporary traditional architects and tilers of Isfahan, whose name and artistic work are remembered in the inscriptions of religious and landmark buildings of the country. His most important characteristics and known works of art are:

Tile work in the mosque – Shahid Motahari High School (Sepahsalar) (Tehran) One of the most important historical documents of the art of Master Morteza Forghanian is engraved above the arches on both sides of the southern porch of this magnificent building. His name, along with another famous architect, Master Gholam Ali Sherbaf, has been registered as the architects and masters of tile work in sensitive parts of the Shabestan dome and southern porch of this historical complex.

Master Forghanian’s artistic style was active in the field of performing traditional seven-color tile and religious mosaic works in the corridors and porches of the mosques of Isfahan and Tehran, and he delicately implemented the traditional geometry of arches and carvings of the Qajar and Pahlavi periods.
